WELLNESS RETREAT - HEARTFELT DESIRES

Heartfelt Desires and Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a treasure, a powerful and meditative resource for healing, insight and empowerment, it involves a guided meditation and rotation of consciousness throughout the body. We are so passionate that yoga nidra is one of the most vital forms of spiritual practice for twenty-first century medicine and enjoy sharing it whenever possible and so it was at life coach Eva Angel Diamond's "boho-lux" retreat space located in the countryside at Te Arai that we invited our guests to experience some of the benefits of this practice. You know that feeling when you meet someone in a large group and they are only slightly paying attention to the introduction? Eva is the opposite. You can feel her with you in that moment, and it's really powerful. We had asked Eva to help us to enable everyone to form their "sankalpa" or heartfelt desire to be set as an intention for their yoga nidra. Eva's approach to life is imaginative, mindful and all about trusting what the universe has in store. Shots of herbs from our medicinal dispensary, herbal teas served up alongside hot turmeric drinks and some snacks to graze on kept us nourished throughout the day. Adding in Steph's sound bath and Ayurveda polarity massage was pretty much enough to give everyone an opportunity to experience some of what we do as practitioners at our clinic on Cemetery Road. We shared and laughed and listened while we dropped into the moment. We let go of what didn't belong and we set positive intentions for the future, for ourselves and our community.
